You can beautify your face without putting on makeup and protecting it from pollution and cold. We propose a step-by-step morning routine to achieve it.

It is normal that when you wake up every morning you see yourself with a dull face. It is because it needs hydration and that the circulation awakens and begins to irrigate our face giving it color. But if your face lacks light, you may not be differentiating the morning beauty routine from the one you do at night.

WHAT SHOULD A MORNING BEAUTY ROUTINE BE LIKE?

The needs of the skin are different in the morning. During the day our skin will be exposed to the rigors of the environment, to the ultraviolet rays of the sun, to environmental pollution, bacteria, dust and changes in temperature, so it is necessary to prepare it to protect it from these external agents. Instead, at night, the goal of the routine is to repair the damage that your face may have suffered during the day.

The morning routine isn’t just about putting on makeup. If you don’t like doing it, you can look beautiful and natural with some basic care, which will take only a few minutes but will be appreciated.

STEP ONE: CLEAN WITHOUT SOAP

When you wake up, your face accumulates a load of dead cells, allergens, dust, fungi and you may even blemish, which must be removed so that it can receive good hydration later.

Without soaps. Ideally, use a micellar water, a cleansing gel or a biphasic lotion. Using toilet soap irritates your eyes and makes your skin too dry. Also, over time, it can upset your balance. Apply the facial cleanser with a cotton pad or reusable wipe, using gentle strokes and gentle movements.

SECOND STEP: GENTLY TONE

When you finish cleaning, apply a toner. It can be hydrating if you have dry skin or astringent if it is oily. Apply the toner with a cotton pad to clean the remains of the product from the previous step, refresh, close pores and prepare the skin for hydration.

Flower waters. If you have dry or sensitive skin you can use rose water, chamomile hydrosol, orange blossom or rockrose. Other options are toning lotions that contain urea, hyaluronic acid or glycerin, for deep and smooth hydration. If you have oily skin, you can use witch hazel, cucumber, lemon or sage hydrosol.

THIRD STEP: SMOOTH WRINKLES AND DARK CIRCLES

Before moisturizing the entire face, it is advisable to apply an eye contour with a deep-hydrating massage, combat crow’s feet and reduce dark circles. It is important to do it before, because the skin around the eyes is very thin and delicate. If you apply the contour over the moisturizer and protector, the skin will not receive it.

A few drops of serum. There are serums, vegetable oils and natural gels such as aloe vera that will help you treat the skin in this area. You can apply a drop of rosehip, evening primrose or argan oil and massage until absorbed.

STEP FOUR: HYDRATE AND PROTECT

After cleansing and toning, the third step is to hydrate and protect the skin. As we will not use makeup, you can use a “BB cream” (beauty balm), which moisturizes and at the same time gives a very soft and natural color. During the fall and winter, if you are not going to spend many hours outdoors each day, you do not need to use sunscreen.

In fact, we need to expose ourselves a little to the sun to synthesize the necessary vitamin D in the skin. If you really need protection, remember that you should apply sunscreen after moisturizing and that it is advisable to choose a certified natural product with a mineral filter, not a synthetic one.

FIFTH STEP: ENHANCE EYELASHES, EYEBROWS AND LIPS

To make your face naturally flawless, top off your care with the following suggestions:

  • Curl your lashes and apply an oil that strengthens them like castor oil.
  • Comb your eyebrows with a special brush. You can use styling wax so that the eyebrows take the shape you want to give them.
  • Exfoliate your lips once a week with icing sugar and olive oil. Apply cocoa butter daily to protect and repair them.
