The little details are important. When you practice sports, yoga or another discipline to get your body going, they allow you to get more out of the session and make the experience healthier and more enjoyable.

We are on the verge of spring, a wonderful opportunity to choose healthier habits. It is a time of optimism and rebirth.

Exercise is one of my priorities because of its enormous physical and psychological benefits. When I train, I feel stronger and more energetic? Spring is an ideal opportunity to get in shape, with the motivation of the coming summer.

I have found that fulfilling this purpose is easier when I organize and prepare my clothes and gym bag in advance. So, there are no last-minute excuses, there is no escape to achieve my goals.

WHAT TO BRING TO THE GYM FOR A HEALTHY WORKOUT?

Here are some of my essentials when I go to the gym. Natural and healthy products!

1. COCONUT WATER

During exercise, body water is lost much faster through perspiration. Coconut water helps us rehydrate because it is one of the richest and most natural sources of electrolytes. It is an excellent source of potassium, which together with sodium controls hydration levels in the body.

2. REUSABLE BOTTLE

This is very important, remember that plastic bottles are an incredible source of contamination. Every minute a million plastic bottles are bought in the world.

In the market you can find plastic bottles without bisphenols or, better still, stainless steel. Some are even equipped with an activated carbon filter that improves water quality, reducing lime, chlorine and chemical and organic contaminants in tap water.

Remember the importance of a diet rich in whole foods with a high content of water, minerals and vitamins, which help us prevent dehydration and improve performance in the gym.

3. DARK CHOCOLATE

My gym bag cannot be without dark chocolate (with a minimum of 75% cocoa). This food is known to improve physical endurance and muscle power.

I try to consume it half an hour before training. Pure chocolate is rich in flavonoids, natural compounds with antioxidant properties that are beneficial for the health of our heart.

4. NATURAL DEODORANT

As a deodorant I use tea tree oil, a powerful antibacterial that fights odor-causing microbes. A few drops are enough. Sometimes I use a deodorant with white clay and lavender.

The white clay is a great base to prepare a deodorant by its antiseptic properties and its high absorption. Applied in powder form, it reduces sweat and eliminates bad odor.

5. REFRESHING MISTS

I love having different hydros at my fingertips throughout the day, especially when I need to refresh my skin or clear my head. After a long workout, gently spraying these aromatic waters on my skin helps me relax.

The hydrosols or floral waters are the result of steam distillation of aromatic and medicinal plants, either of the whole plant, flower or root

EXTRA: A RELAXING BATH WHEN YOU GET HOME

When I get home from an intense workout, I like to take a relaxing bath. I use salts, flowers, olive oil and a few drops of lavender essential oil to enhance its many benefits.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of Himalayan salt
  • 4 drops of each lavender tree essential oil, mixed with two tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of dried rose flowers, known for their delicate and moisturizing effects on sensitive skin

One of my favorite salts is the pink Himalayan salt, the perfect ingredient to enjoy a bath that helps us fall asleep after a hard day at the gym.

Himalayan salt is known as rose gold and is considered one of the purest salts on the planet. In addition, it is an ideal ingredient for beauty rituals. Detoxifies the skin and, when combined with oils and flowers, a maximum hydration effect is achieved.
